2025 F1 Season: The Rise of McLaren

2025 F1 Season: The Rise of McLaren

What a start to the 2025 season, and honestly, I can’t keep calm!

We’re only a few races in, but already it feels like the scriptwriters have gone wild — shocking wins, heartbreaking retirements, team battles heating up... and McLaren? Absolutely ON FIRE. 🔥

McLaren’s Golden Boys: Lando and Oscar Light It Up

Lando Norris winning the season opener in Australia? Goosebumps.
Seeing him finally standing on the top step — pure magic. He’s been grinding for years, always thereabouts but never quite there — until now.
And then Oscar Piastri — our quiet assassin — just casually goes and wins three races already (China, Bahrain, Saudi). The kid’s unreal. Calm, ruthless, and absolutely flying.

McLaren hasn’t looked this strong since the early 2000s. Feels like we’re watching a dynasty begin.

  • Lando: Confident but hungry. Finally silencing the "coulda-woulda-shoulda" crowd.

  • Oscar: Cold-blooded. Looks like he was born to be a world champion.

Right now, it’s McLaren’s world — everyone else is just living in it.

Max Verstappen: Still a Monster, But Bleeding

Let’s not get it twisted — Max isn’t done.
He’s already taken a win in Japan and he’s still Max Freaking Verstappen — the guy’s relentless.
But 2025? It’s different.
Red Bull looks shaky. Pit stop blunders, a few weird penalties (Saudi was messy), and Max actually looks... beatable.

Seeing him chase instead of run away? I’m not mad at it. 👀

Lewis Hamilton & Ferrari: Still a Dream, Kinda a Nightmare

Man, we wanted the Hamilton-Ferrari love story so bad.
But right now? It's looking more like a bad first date.

  • A P10 debut.

  • A DQ in China.

  • Seventh in Saudi.

Not the fairy tale start Lewis (or we) imagined. You can see he’s trying, but the Ferrari just isn’t talking to him yet.
Still, if anyone can pull a miracle, it’s Sir Lewis. Never count out the 🐐.

George Russell: Silent Assassin at Mercedes

Russell’s season so far has been textbook consistency.
Podiums, big points, smart racing — no silly mistakes. He’s carrying Mercedes' hopes right now while the team transitions into their next era (Antonelli hype incoming too 👀).

George might not have flashy wins yet, but trust me — he's lurking.

Charles Leclerc: Mr. Consistency with a Side of Ferrari Drama

Leclerc’s doing what he does best — dragging that Ferrari as high as it’ll go.
Finally got them a podium in Saudi after early DQs and fourth-place frustrations.
He’s driving out of his skin right now — it’s just sad Ferrari keeps making life harder than it needs to be.

Carlos Sainz: New Colors, Same Fighter

Carlos in Williams still feels weird ngl... but respect where it’s due.
He’s hustling hard, scoring points when he can. Sure, a few rough races (two retirements already), but he’s not giving up. That’s why fans love Carlos — he’s all heart.

Fernando Alonso: Fighting... and Fighting... and Fighting

Watching Alonso this season has been painful.
The Aston just isn’t it right now — retirements, mid-pack scraps, and zero podiums so far.
But if there’s one guy who’ll squeeze something out of a struggling car, it’s Fernando. The passion? Still unmatched.

Final Thoughts: Buckle Up

2025 is already delivering movie-level drama.
McLaren’s back. Verstappen’s vulnerable. Hamilton’s hunting for a miracle.
This might genuinely be one of those "I was there" seasons we’ll tell our grandkids about.

If you’re not watching F1 right now, you're missing history in the making.

And if you are? Buckle up — it’s only just getting started. 🏎️💨
